Data Security Analyst

Atlas Technologies, Inc., a rapidly expanding company supporting the U.S. Military and other Government entities, is seeking a Data Security Analyst with a strong Information Assurance background, and who is a passionate, flexible, and highly motivated team player to join our group of Information Technology professionals in Charleston, SC. You Will: Monitor, analyze and respond to security eventsInvestigate and assess potential security incidents, determining severity and impactCreate and monitor Engineering Change Requests (ECRs)Utilize the Atlassian JIRA ticketing application to create and monitor service ticketsPerform root cause analysis of security incidents, identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actionsDocument security incidents and findings in a clear and concise mannerAssist in identifying system vulnerabilities and ensure system compliance with security standardsGenerate and maintain documentation and system processes related to IT securityReview scan results for quality, including false positives, and provide actionable remediation stepsSupport Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific with analysis of fleet assets to assess cybersecurity postureProvide analysis of CANES baseline configurations for Annual Security Review (ASR)Assist other Data Analysts with STIG scanning and analysis of findings You Have: U.S. CitizenshipPossession of or the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security ClearanceEffective communication skills and sharing of technical knowledge with developers and infrastructure teamsSelf-starter mentality with the ability to learn new skills quickly with minimal guidanceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong team ethic, collaborating effectively with personnel at all levels and in all departmentsExcellent problem diagnosis and analytical skillsHighly organized work habits and the ability to organize and prioritize responses to effectively mitigate security threatsDemonstrated skills in synthesizing and summarizing complex data into concise recommendations and reportsThe ability to multi-task and balance multiple goals and prioritiesSelf-motivation, strong work ethic and commitment to qualityA passion for learning about, and working in the IT industryA CompTIA Security+ CE certification or ability to receive within 3 monthsBachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics is preferred, but relevant experience may be substituted for degreeRelevant experience to include 8 years of experience in relevant technical field, including Systems Analysis, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and technical support of C5ISR requirements We’d Be Impressed If You Had: Experience with Navy IT-21 networks using CANESVulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) experienceConfiguration Management PRO (CMPRO) experienceSecurity Center/Tenable Nessus experienceSecurity Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) experience In addition to a great culture at Atlas Tech, we pride ourselves on our Core Values of Learning; Teaching; Passion; and Flexibility.
