Data Analyst Remote

About the role

CodeVertex System is seeking a Data Analyst to review structured data, support reporting, identify trends, and help teams make better-informed operational decisions. The role is remote and requires dependable communication, self-management, and consistent availability during agreed working periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean, validate, and organize data from approved internal sources.
• Prepare recurring reports, summaries, and basic visualizations for stakeholders.
• Investigate anomalies, missing values, and inconsistent records.
• Document data definitions, assumptions, and reporting logic.
• Collaborate with business partners to clarify reporting needs and priorities.
• Support improvements to data quality, reporting accuracy, and repeatable analysis.

Requirements

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to data accuracy.
• Comfort working with spreadsheets and structured datasets.
• Ability to explain findings clearly in writing and through simple reports.
• Understanding of basic data validation, trend analysis, and documentation practices.
• Ability to manage assignments independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL, business-intelligence tools, Python, or advanced spreadsheet functions.
• Prior exposure to dashboarding, operational reporting, or data-quality work.
• Degree, coursework, or practical experience in analytics, business, economics, statistics, or a related field.
