About the role

The Quality Control Data Analyst at Clearspeed plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of digital data, primarily focusing on audio and other data types. This full-time remote position requires meticulous review, evaluation, and accurate labeling of data using specialized software tools and established quality control procedures. The analyst is responsible for identifying and documenting quality issues, irregularities, or anomalies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The role involves working independently in a secure environment, maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality. Candidates must be adaptable to varying work schedules, including weekends and holidays, and be willing to undergo specialized training to attain QC certification. Responsibilities

  • Review, evaluate, and accurately label audio recordings and other data files using designated software tools and quality control procedures
  • Inspect, classify, and analyze data in accordance with established guidelines to assess quality, accuracy, and compliance
  • Identify actual or potential quality issues, irregularities, or anomalies and document findings with precision
  • Communicate observations and concerns effectively to team leads and escalate issues when necessary
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of quality assessments, findings, and related activities
  • Assist in quality control projects and initiatives as assigned by management
  • Collaborate with team members to support operational goals and project success
  • Contribute to process improvements by identifying trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for enhancement
  • Apply established rules, procedures, and quality criteria consistently during data evaluation
  • Complete QC Analyst basic certification training and testing; exercise professional judgment to make risk-based decisions under time constraints
  • Perform additional duties related to quality control as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, data annotation, data labeling, content moderation, transcription, compliance review, auditing, or similar analytical roles
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with digital tools and software applications
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience reviewing audio samples, speech data, or digital content
  • Experience managing large datasets, databases, or data management systems
  • Native or advanced proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing, comprehension); additional languages are a plus
  • Eligibility for US Government security clearance (must be a US citizen)
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus in a remote environment
