Data Analyst, MoBI
About the role
The Research, Strategic Data Initiatives team at Child Mind Institute is seeking a General-purpose programmer to support scientific and clinical projects. Reporting to the Project Manager, MoBI, this position involves using various laboratory methods including MRI, EEG, actigraphy, heart rate monitoring, respiration tracking, computer-based tasks, eye-tracking, and ecological assessments.
Responsibilities
- General-purpose programming support for scientific and clinical projects, focusing on data handling and analysis.
- Implement and update quality data assurance and curation protocols.
- Test, evaluate, and help to revise data processing / feature generation protocols.
- Support the maintenance and revision of multimodal databases.
- Collaborate with scientific literature review.
- Attend and present at team meetings.
- Contribute to peer-reviewed manuscript submissions for publication.
- Help collect imaging, physiological, and behavioral data for assigned studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Level degree in Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of clinical and/or research experience.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Matlab, R, and/or Python).

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay
The salary range for this position is posted. Factors such as candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations affect the salary offered within this range. In addition, this salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role).
