About the role

The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine is seeking a Data Analyst IV to support quantitative and qualitative analysis of learner data, ensuring excellence in medical education.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for the analysis of learner data to enhance educational outcomes.
• Makes recommendations on design and data collection methodology for clinical and simulation/performance-based assessments in collaboration with key leaders.
• Responsible for data organization, maintenance of assessment databases, statistical analysis, interpretation, and reporting to stakeholders.
• Collects and analyzes data to support course revisions and curriculum planning.
• Develops data collection and analysis methodologies, including defining data requirements, sources, and procedures for statistical analysis.
• Implements quality assurance procedures to ensure validity and reliability of data.
• Collects data using methods such as checklists, global rating scales, surveys, forms, and questionnaires.
• Generates reports, charts, tables, and presentations for data and outcome reporting to individuals, offices, and committees.
• Builds structures for longitudinal data capture and reporting.
• Serves as a resource for faculty on data collection, entry methods, and data quality in medical education research.
• Collaborates with HWCOM IT to define data delivery requirements and specifications.
• Serves as a key member of the Assessment Committee and Program Evaluation Committee, ensuring quality control of data compilation, analysis, interpretation, visualization, and reporting.
• Leads the planning, development, and implementation of a data warehouse in collaboration with HWCOM IT, the Office of Medical Education, and the Office of Student Affairs to house student performance and program evaluation data.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six (6) years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four (4) years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Education, Educational Psychology, or Quantitative Psychology preferred.
• Analytical and statistical expertise in clinical and performance-based assessments (e.g., workplace-based assessment, OSCEs), student outcomes, program reviews, and teaching evaluations.
• Working knowledge of statistical variables, descriptive statistics, and basic statistical inferences (e.g., t-test, z-test, chi-square, regression) using tools such as SPSS and SAS.
• Experience in assessment and performance-based evaluation of programs, preferably in medical education.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas and results effectively.
• Experience with Qualtrics and BI dashboarding.

Pay

$85,000 - $90,000
