Data Analyst II

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Data Analyst II with our large power and utilities client in Raleigh, NC. This is a 3-year contract with a potential for extension. Pay: $48.00 - $53.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship. Description: Individuals have primary responsibility for the design, development, and maintenance of reporting, dashboard, and data warehouse solutions (Power BI, SSAS models, SQL, Power Automate, SSRS, etc.) that support decision making within the Power Grid Operations organization. Duties and Responsibilities:Work with internal customers on the development of reporting requirementsUses technical understanding of existing reporting warehouses, or may develop local warehouses when necessary to support the development of solutionsAggregate data from various data sources to automate a manual business processDevelopment of medium to complex solutions using Power BI or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)Support creation and maintenance of tabular models and cubes in PowerPivot or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)Develop medium to complex SQL against either Oracle or SQL Server databasesExtensive knowledge of Data Warehousing fundamentalsExperience in database design, creating table and views, or writing stored proceduresExperience with Power Automate and/or Power AppsExperience with Python programming languageDocument warehouses to support cross training of co-workersInterface with internal organizations such as Finance, Project Management, Lighting, or Resource Management to facilitate solution deliveryCoordinate with Information Technology on requestsDevelop solutions to complex business problems in a systematic mannerUsing Project Management fundamentals to help drive projects and initiatives to successful conclusions Additional Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with Agile fundamentalsReport development, metrics and analytics experienceExperience with Primavera P6 Project Portfolio Management applicationExperience with BI tools such as Power BIExtensive knowledge of SQL (Oracle or SQL Server)Experience with advanced Excel features (pivot tables, vlookup, etc.)Experience with AI toolsKnowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)Demonstrated experience with Tabular or Multi-dimensional Models in PowerPivot or SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)Experience with Teams and SharePointStrong communication skillsDemonstrated problem solving skills Primary Talent Partners is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
