Data Analyst (Employee Benefits)

This Data Analyst role supports GBS consultants and brokers by delivering timely, accurate analytics and decision support information to Pharmacy clients in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Manages data, prepares and peer-reviews reports, performs ad-hoc analysis, and provides assistance with rate decisions.
- Participates in self-funded and fully insured quoting processes for employers of various sizes and industries.
- Works closely with carrier partners to gather employer benefit options and pricing.
- Gathers benefit options from carriers to prepare illustrations and provide comparisons for product lines such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability coverages.
- Understands and utilizes company-specific software systems.
- Acquires knowledge of the local healthcare marketplace, carriers, TPAs, and PBMs.
- Assists with team projects and initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in a data-related field such as actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, economics, finance, or computer science.
- Strong ability to leverage industry knowledge, analytical thinking, and technical data skills to analyze data and respond to client questions.
- Experience with a PC and proficiency in MS Excel is required.

Working Conditions
This position is based in a newly constructed, state-of-the-art open-concept office building with modern amenities, including common areas, stand-up workstations, beautiful views, and an amazing lunchroom. Employees are provided with ergonomically designed workspaces. Daily work includes computer interfacing, data entry, electronic and physical communications, movement throughout the office, and attending meetings. Physical demands include the ability to lift and move objects (typically 0–10 lbs) and visually monitor information/data on a computer screen.
