About the role

The Data Analyst plays a crucial role in solving complex analytics problems for Publix, a Fortune 100 company. They leverage large datasets and advanced analytics to enhance supply chain performance and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytical models for supply chain areas like retail stores, RBUs, and corporate forecasting.
• Design and develop data systems to support business insights and recommendations.
• Lead and participate in strategic initiatives across various supply chain business areas.
• Provide leadership consulting and advisory services to senior leadership and management.
• Engage in continuous learning and skill development in advanced data analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, IT, CS, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of analytics work experience.
• Advanced knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and accounting.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Experience with SQL, R, Python, and statistical analysis tools.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Analytics, MBA, or related field.
• INFORMS Certified Analytics Professional or similar certification.
• Experience with specific business areas and supply chain methodologies.
• Advanced knowledge of operations research techniques and information systems design.
• Leadership skills and the ability to influence others.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, statistical analysis, and software development tools.
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
