About the Role
An American computer software company offers a wide range of programs from web design tools, photo manipulation, vector creation, video/audio editing, mobile app development, print layout, and animation software. VARITE, an award-winning minority business enterprise established in 2000, provides global consulting and staffing services to Fortune 1000 companies and government agencies.
This is a 4.5-month contract role with possible extension, located in San Jose, CA or San Francisco, CA (Hybrid). Work authorization requires US citizenship or Green Card only.
Responsibilities
- Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and data modeling to gain deep insights into customers’ behaviors and journey across surfaces, short and long-term trends, and present impactful recommendations to grow the business.
- Act as a thought partner to GTM business leads, Sales, PM, PMM, and other partners, influencing decisions through storytelling of data-driven recommendations, analysis, and experiment results.
- Identify business opportunities, build use cases, and recommend data science initiatives to inform the data science plan and DS-driven product roadmap.
- Use data science models to tackle critical business challenges and drive recurring, scalable, and programmatic business unlocks.
- Recommend testing ideas based on analysis.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Demonstrable experience using quantitative analysis or statistical modeling on data sets to tackle intricate business problems.
- Experience building and training statistical or data science models.
- Experience with statistics in SaaS or Subscription Business model environments; mobile analytics experience preferred.
- Experience with data visualization tools, preferably Tableau and Power BI.
- Excellent storytelling with data and communication skills to influence decision-making at all levels.
- A fast learner with a desire to explore new concepts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative fields such as Computer Science, Math/Statistics, Economics, Physics, or equivalent practical experience. MBA or a master’s degree is preferred.
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience doing quantitative analysis in tech or management consulting.

Pay
$65.00/hr. to $70.42/hr. on W2.
