DAS Technician-Houston

Communication Technology Services (CTS) provides custom, carrier‑grade in‑building and campus connectivity solutions for enterprises and mobile network operators. The company works on high‑profile, cutting‑edge projects across the United States and is hiring Technicians in Houston, TX. Both entry‑level candidates (with on‑the‑job training) and experienced technicians (Technician II or Technician III) are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Follow the direction of the Field Manager/Lead Tech.
• Participate in install teams, stringing coax and fiber cable.
• Install antennas and equipment as directed.
• Transport materials to job sites.
• Attend apprentice classes where applicable.
• Conduct occasional site‑walk data collection for small venues and retail stores.
• Document site walks for use in the bidding process.
• Pull both coax and fiber cable competently.
• Terminate coax cable.
• Perform fusion splicing and fiber‑optic testing practices.
• Use basic computer applications for documentation.
• Operate cable sweep test equipment and understand related processes.
• Understand frequency bands, protocols, and terminology.
• Collect information for close‑out packages.

Qualifications

• Technician I – Willing to learn; construction, low‑voltage, or telecom experience preferred.
• Technician II – Hands‑on coax/fiber experience and some DAS experience.
• Technician III – Strong DAS installation, service, troubleshooting, and testing experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Clean driving record.
• Pass a background check.
• Physical ability to carry tools, materials, and ladders; climb ladders; lift up to 50 lb as needed; and perform daily required tasks.

Travel

Regional travel within Texas is required for this position.

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $19 to $27, based on experience.
