DAS Design Engineer - iBwave

About the role

HNM Systems is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to support wireless and RF system design for large-scale infrastructure projects. This desk-based, remote role focuses on delivering high-quality RF designs using iBwave and CAD tools, with an emphasis on public safety iDAS and enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize wireless communication systems using iBwave and CAD tools.
• Develop and review RF designs to ensure compliance with project specifications and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and project teams to execute project plans and deliver quality solutions.
• Conduct site surveys, RF modeling, and design validation to ensure optimal system performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to RF design and system implementation.
• Contribute to design documentation and maintain accurate project records.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in RF design or wireless communications.
• Hands-on experience using iBwave and/or RF-focused CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of RF modelling, signal propagation, and wireless design principles.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage communication effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• iBwave Level 2 certification.
• Experience supporting public safety iDAS projects.
• Background working on large-scale projects; data center experience is a plus.
