About the Programme
Dangote Cement Plc has officially commenced applications for its Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) Operators Training Programme, a six-month intensive initiative designed to equip young Nigerians with the skills needed for safe and efficient operation of heavy mining equipment. The programme, hosted at the Obajana Cement Plant in Kogi State, aims to build a pool of competent and safety-conscious operators to support Dangote Cement’s mining operations across Nigeria. It combines behavioural screening, safety training, classroom instruction, equipment simulations, technical workshops, and hands-on field practice. The training places strong emphasis on safety, discipline, and practical competence in operating heavy earth-moving machinery used in mining.
