Dance Instructor (Specialist)

Basic Responsibilities

• Lead dance classes and guide dancer development throughout the course.
• Choreograph a routine for student showcases (Dec/April).
• Communicate supply/costume needs to the supervisor and provide input on the program where appropriate.
• Work with other dance faculty to coordinate performance/rehearsal logistics may be required.

Previous Work Experience

• Required experience in live events.
• Experience in event management or front-of-house coordination preferred.

Education

• A background in dance education is required.
• College completion or in-progress preferred.

Special Skills & Training

• Based on the class schedule, this position can work with students from ages 3 through ages 18.
• Experience working with students of varying backgrounds and abilities is required.
• Students will range from beginner to intermediate/advanced.

Start Date & Work Schedule

• Start Date: ASAP
• Evening and weekend hours vary based on the dance schedule.
