Dallas Technology Audit & Advisory Senior Consultant
Dallas, Texas (hybrid model combining in-person and remote work; ratio varies by client, project, and team). Local or out-of-state travel may be required based on project needs and client commitments.
About the role
Protiviti’s Technology Audit & Advisory practice helps clients better manage risks associated with their use of technology, protect and enhance enterprise value, and rethink how technology processes are managed by incorporating AI and automation. As a Senior Consultant, you will mentor, train, and coach Interns and Consultants while facilitating the successful completion of project work plans. You will identify areas of risk and opportunities to increase efficiency, strengthen client relationships, and deepen your ability to communicate, gain trust, and network with client personnel and professional associates.
At the direction of Managers, you may assume responsibility for decision-making in areas including establishing project scope and work plans, project staffing, preparation of deliverables, and application of methodologies.

- Identify areas of business and technology risk and opportunities to improve efficiency, increase performance, and help clients better utilize technologies.
- Leverage AI to enhance personal productivity as well as internal audit and SOX activities, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Develop and deliver audit deliverables such as process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
- Apply internal control frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL).
- Communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.
- Supervise teams, including mentoring, oversight, review of work, coordination across teams, and motivation.
- Document findings and summarize recommendations.
- Stay current with trends and developments in data and technology, including cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, and enterprise applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
- 2+ years of experience in internal audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.
- Proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions is a plus.
- Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar is preferred.
- Experience with IT audit methodologies and Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions, particularly technology implications and requirements.
- Ability to evaluate, summarize, organize, and interpret data.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
- Interest in project management and team leadership.

Pay
Starting salary range: $90,000 – $134,000 (placement dependent on experience, skills, and geographic work location).
Annual bonus target opportunity: 10% of base salary.
Estimated total cash range: $99,000 – $147,400.
