Primary Responsibilities
- Promote and sell Alta's genetics, related products and services
- Provide an excellent and efficient experience to clients
- Evaluate and assess customer accounts and product offerings for continuous improvement
- Increase Alta's market share through existing customer base and core business of large herds
- Possess strong prospecting, development, and management skills for new business
- Promote Alta products and services at local and regional dairy events
- Review monthly sales reports
- Manage expenses, inventory, and accounts receivable
Skills And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agribusiness, Dairy Science, or a related field is preferred
- Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
- Experience in dairy or beef genetics, reproduction services, or livestock sales is preferred
- Exceptional relationship building and communication skills
- Self-starter, results oriented and driven by developing win-win solutions
- In depth genetic knowledge and familiarity with dairy management software programs are considered assets
- Considerable (local) travel is required
