Dairy Queen Manager #8402

Overview

The Dairy Queen Manager oversees all operations of the DQ restaurant connected to a Shell convenience store. Managers mainly work daytime shifts but must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Essential Functions

• Recruit, hire & train store personnel
• Schedule employees and manage labor budgets
• Reach financial targets; monitor P&Ls
• Create an exceptional customer service environment
• Maintain a positive work environment for all team members
• Coach, counsel, evaluate, and develop employees
• Create and submit daily reports
• Maintain site appearance, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
• Implement and maintain safety procedures
• Control all cash and merchandise inventories
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
• Other duties as required

Basic Qualifications And Physical Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• 1+ years in restaurant management
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid Driver License and reliable transportation
• Safely lift 55 lbs. and carry short distances
• Stand and walk for 8+ consecutive hours
• Climb a step stool, reach with arms above head, grasp with hands, crouch and bend
• Accurately select options from a register and touch screen monitor
• Excellent communication in English (hear, speak, read & write)
• Accurately take payment and count change
• Count and weigh product; calculate basic math
• Basic computer proficiency
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
