Dairy Manager

About the role

The Dairy Manager oversees one of the most visited departments in Sprouts Farmers Market stores, managing a "store within a store" concept. The role involves delivering an exceptional customer service experience in a fast-paced and friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Give direction to clerks in the Dairy Department, ensuring they adhere to presentation and sanitation standards.
• Process and stock products according to Sprouts dairy standards.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, engaging and evaluating team members through coaching and feedback.
• Control inventory to recommended stock levels, removing out-of-code items and making price changes.
• Ensure maximum productivity and efficiency by creating and adjusting schedules and staffing levels.
• Communicate standards, expectations, and policy changes to team members.
• Lead a team that collaborates to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience for customers.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience.
• Good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction in a team environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Ability to stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift.
• Vertically transfer trays up to 5 lbs., from 7” to 64” for up to 10 hours, and vertically/horizontally transfer items up to 40 lbs., from 5” to 36”, for a distance up to 36 feet for up to 10 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations, and achieve and maintain a Food Handlers permit.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $29.15 / hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.

Schedule

This role requires a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
