Dairy Machine Operator Trainee - 3rd shift

As a Dairy Machine Operator in Buffalo, NY, you’ll play a key role in our 3rd shift operations (includes working weekends with days off during the week).

Responsibilities

• Operate and clean multiple pieces of equipment, including cheese molders, cooker, DMC, and brine system.
• Start-up, maintain sanitation, perform CIP, shutdown, and troubleshoot machinery as needed.
• Monitor key processing indicators such as time, temperature, pH, moisture, and weight.
• Maintain production in a continuous flow operation.
• Complete daily production and sanitation paperwork, documenting any non-compliance results.
• Ensure Food Safety and Security per the Plant’s GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and GSP (Good Sanitation Practices) policies.
• Work efficiently and safely to produce a high-quality product.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Mozzarella Production Supervisor.

Requirements

• Basic mathematical skills (e.g., calculating averages).
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s Degree in Dairy Science or Chemistry preferred.
• Dairy experience preferred.
