Dairy Heifer Operations Manager (KH-11339)

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of heifer development from calves through pre-fresh animals
• Manage herd health, nutrition, reproduction, employee management, and operational performance
• Lead employees, work closely with veterinarians and nutritionists
• Maintain health and breeding records
• Monitor performance metrics
• Ensure established protocols are followed
• Manage feed operations
• Oversight of facilities and equipment
• Cooking and maintenance programs
• Utilize technology and data to improve efficiency and animal performance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in a dairy heifer or calf-raising operation
• Strong leadership and employee management skills
• Fluent in English and Spanish (Dairy Spanish at a minimum)
• Solid understanding of heifer nutrition, herd health, and reproductive programs
• Experience managing feed operations and inventory preferred
• Proficient with herd management software and data analysis
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and lead a large team

Pay

$125,000.00 - $150,000.00 Salary Type : Annual Salary
