About the Role

A Dairy Department Clerk ensures the dairy section is fresh, organized, and fully stocked for customers. This active, fast-paced role involves rotating and shelving products, monitoring freshness, maintaining clean and visually appealing displays, and providing friendly assistance to shoppers. You’ll also support inventory accuracy and assist with receiving and placing orders. Comfort working in cooler environments and being on your feet throughout the day is required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate and shelve dairy products to maintain freshness and organization.
• Monitor product freshness and remove expired or damaged items.
• Maintain clean, visually appealing displays to enhance customer experience.
• Assist customers with inquiries and provide friendly service.
• Support inventory accuracy and assist with receiving and placing orders.
• Use handheld inventory devices and basic computer systems for order tracking.

Requirements

• Familiarity with food safety and freshness protocols.
• Ability to manage inventory, rotate stock, and keep shelves organized.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and helpful attitude.
• Attention to detail for monitoring product dates, cleanliness, and display standards.
• Physical stamina to work in refrigerated environments and stay active throughout the shift.
• Willingness to collaborate with teammates and contribute to a positive store environment.
• Basic technical skills, including familiarity with handheld inventory devices and computer systems.
