Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain a well-managed classroom and a safe, positive learning environment.
- Supervise students in and out of the classroom, including in the halls, on the playground, and in the cafeteria.
- Follow and implement lesson plans, classwork, homework, and tests.
- If needed, may attend parent-teacher conferences.
- Provide appropriate material and resources for students to engage in learning.
- Compile a report for the teacher that includes student attendance, lesson-plan progress, disciplinary actions, and positive developments.
- Supports the school in stimulating and advancing the ongoing development of an organizational culture characterized by a commitment to faith, continuous learning, quality, integrity, mutual respect, and Catholic values.
- Models the expectations of the school and diocese according to the mission and vision espoused, as well as those expectations set forth in the school and diocese handbooks.
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal or his/her designee.

Physical Demands
- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear;
- Frequent use of equipment including repetitive motions and computer eye fatigue;
- possible biological exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases.
Working Conditions
- Normal classroom setting with working hours of 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. as needed, Monday through Friday.
- May be required to work outside normal hours to attend meetings, open houses, and workshops.
