SUMMARY

Serves as a Production Line Worker in all stages of production/development by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow Proper Department Procedures Outlined In Seaboard Training Manuals
• Understand bacon specification requirements to ensure quality
• Follow procedures outlined by Department Supervisor/Department Leads
• Follow Seaboard attendance and punctuality rules
• Follow all Seaboard food security guidelines
• Follow all Seaboard Safety guidelines as outlined in the Safety Handbook
• Aid Department Supervisor and Team Members in meeting production and quality requirements
• Maintain accurate counts
• Adhere to product specifications
• Work at a pace consistent with the required line speed
• Keep accurate records as needed
• Minimize scrap at all times
• Maintain Proper Department And Plant Appearance By Sweeping floor and aisles as instructed
• Keep all scraps picked up from floor in your work area
• Washing building and equipment as needed and scheduled
• Keeping all trash and items picked up
• Assisting in cleaning and maintaining office area

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred.
• Ability to write simple correspondence preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and management.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations preferred.

REASONING ABILITY

• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and sometimes push/and or move up to 300 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions.

ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS

• Stand for long periods of time, twist, bend, and frequently lifting up to 40 lbs. with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs., able to perform hard manual labor.
• Shift: 5:50 am to 2:30 pm, Monday -- Friday, with an average of 2 MANDATORY Saturdays per month.
