D365 F&O Senior Solution Architect

About the role

Work as part of implementation teams ranging from 4-6 members on Dynamics ERP Projects as a technical lead, possibly managing other technical resources, or as a senior technical team member. You will be responsible for all technical tasks required of implementation, supporting the Project Manager and functional team, and managing delegation of tasks to other tech team members as necessary. This includes system deployment and maintenance; data migration; modification design and development; code reviews, builds and deployments; integration design and development; and user training.

Provide input into the design of functional requirement documents, offering architectural advice, technical design, and development estimates as needed. Mentor junior developers on the project, providing guidance, code reviews, and other assistance. Demonstrate excellent documentation skills in the development of design specifications and end-user documents. Train customer technical resources on various aspects of the F&O system, including data migration, development, integration, and system maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical tasks for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) implementation projects
• Support Project Managers and functional teams in system deployment, maintenance, and data migration
• Design and develop modifications, conduct code reviews, and manage builds and deployments
• Design and develop integrations using the Azure platform
• Provide architectural advice and technical design estimates for functional requirement documents
• Mentor junior developers through guidance, code reviews, and assistance
• Create and maintain design specifications and end-user documentation
• Train customer technical resources on F&O system aspects, including data migration, development, integration, and maintenance
• Manage a small team of developers and communicate efficiently with all organizational levels

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of experience developing with X++
• 2+ years of experience working with D365 Finance & Operations
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Life Cycle Services
• Experience with the Azure platform for integration
• Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, Power BI)
• Excellent client relation skills, organization, and prioritization capabilities
• Experience using and developing for SSRS and SSMS
• Prior experience working at a consultancy
• 25-50% travel nationally to customer locations for on-site work, depending on implementation phase
• US Citizen or Green Card Holder

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft certifications in SQL, Dynamics AX/365, and Visual Studio
• Upgrade experience from Ax 2009 and 2012 to D365
• D365 F&O/AX Trade & Logistics, Production, or Finance certification
• D365 F&O Apps Development certification
• Proven ability to manage a small team of developers

Pay

The base compensation range for this role is $142,588.25 - $193,800.25 - $245,012.25. Final offer amount may vary based on experience and geographic location. Compensation ranges for roles in our Government Services pillar are determined by contract with the specific government agency Sikich is servicing.

Schedule

Full-time role with 25-50% national travel to customer locations, depending on the implementation phase.
