Position Summary
We are seeking a highly creative and technically skilled Shopify Web Designer / Developer to join our growing eCommerce team in Irvine, CA. This role requires a strong balance of front-end development expertise and design proficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and build reusable Shopify sections, templates, and modular UI components to improve scalability, maintainability, and consistency across the storefront
- Develop responsive, accessible, and visually consistent experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile breakpoints
- Optimize storefront experiences for conversion, engagement, and usability through layout and UX improvements
- Design and develop high-converting campaign landing pages and promotional experiences aligned with marketing initiatives
- Implement and manage dynamic content structures using Shopify metafields, metaobjects, and custom templates
- Design and implement custom Shopify functionality in Liquid, including interactive UI components and custom page logic
- Take ownership of Shopify storefront initiatives from concept and design through implementation, QA, launch, and iteration
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field preferred
- At least 2 years of experiences as a Shopify Web Designer, Shopify Developer, or similar role
- Strong understanding of responsive web design, accessibility standards, UI systems, and modern front-end best practices
- Experience building reusable Shopify sections, modular layouts, and scalable storefront systems
- Understanding of e-commerce UX principles, customer journey optimization, and conversion-focused design strategies
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues, such as Liquid rendering, third-party apps, or CSS conflicts
Skills
