D2 Equipment Technician
About the role
Qorvo is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician to join their team. The position is part of a compressed work week shift - day shift (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday) from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment
- Work closely with the factory management team to prioritize job tasks
- Collaborate with peers, supervisor, and engineering team to understand root cause of failures and continuously improve equipment availability
- Work with vendors, field service, and technical representatives as needed
- Attend shift pass-down meetings and document daily activities
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on technical maintenance experience in high volume semiconductor environments
- Direct experience on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration and problem-solving
- Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills
- Solid workplace soft skills, including excellent written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with MS Office programs
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities
- Physical capability to stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to wear PPE for handling hazardous materials
Requirements
- Must adhere to all company safety protocols
- Must be physically capable of bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, squatting, etc.
- Must be comfortable navigating and operating computers

- Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills
- Collaborative problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
