About the role

Prepare, screen, and evaluate cytologic specimens to assist in the diagnosis of disease. Participate in fine needle aspiration (FNA) procedures and collaborate directly with pathologists. Ensure test results meet all quality control and regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, JCAHO, OSHA). Troubleshoot and resolve clinical or instrument issues using critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with lab and hospital policies.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, cytology, or a related chemical/biological science. The degree requirement may be waived based on licensure and experience.
  • Experience: 2-4 years in a cytology or clinical lab environment preferred.
  • Certification: Board registered or eligible Cytotechnologist (ASCP or equivalent).
  • Licensure: Licensed Cytologist (LC)

Qualifications

Pay

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours per week
