About the Role
This position processes, screens and performs diagnostic cytology testing in accordance with laboratory protocol.

Monday - Friday
Requirements
- A baccalaureate degree in Cytotechnology or graduate from a school of Cytotechnology accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation, which includes a combination of certification in Cytotechnology, education, and experience.
- American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification is required. New graduates must attain certification within 18 months of hire.
Skills
- Laboratory information system and laboratory instrumentation
- Personal computer, telephone, office equipment, and personal protective equipment
- Proficiency in operating personal computers, telephones, fax machines, photocopiers, printers, and electronic medical records
- Attention to detail, good customer service skills, ability to work independently, and good problem-solving skills
- Willingness to maintain competence through continuing education and proficiency testing where required by law
