Duties
- Operate the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Technology Lab in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct activities for program participants.
- Create a positive environment in CYS Technology Lab that includes appropriate materials and supplies to supplement computer software programs and Internet access.
- Provide supervision, oversight, and accountability for program participants.
- Maintain computer, peripherals, and software in good condition and working order.
- Troubleshoot CYS hardware, printers, scanners, servers, and software.
- Interact with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques.
- Promote and role model safety, fitness, health, and nutrition practices.
- Train children/youth in use of equipment and software programs.
- Achieve and maintain standards for DoD/Army certification and national accreditation or Army equivalent.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactory completion of an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2.
- Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
- Satisfactory performance, successful completion of training requirements (transition and/or annual) and demonstrated on the job competency is required.
- Position requires working with computers, peripherals, software, and common hand and electrical tools.
Qualifications

- A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following:
- Be able to communicate in English (verbal and written)
- Be 18 years of age at time of employment.
- Possess and maintain ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
- Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease.
- Possess knowledge and demonstrated skill in Microsoft Windows and Applications using the Internet (email, searching, web page design) and network computing.
- Possess a professional certificate or higher related to computer science/information technology, or 24 months of experience working in the related field.
