Cylinder Handler

About the role

This role requires you to load and unload gas cylinders and related products onto and from route trucks and trailers. You will move cylinders by rolling and by operating a forklift, sort empty cylinders by type, and check cylinder quantities, styles, and product specifications to support accurate inventory management.

You will review customer orders, pull required items from inventory, and load products onto trucks for delivery. Perform basic cylinder maintenance, including painting, labeling, and cleaning the work area. Assist with paperwork accompanying shipments. This role includes completing both routine and non-routine daily and weekly assignments as directed.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload gas cylinders and related products onto and from route trucks and trailers
• Move cylinders by rolling and operating a forklift
• Sort empty cylinders by type and verify quantities, styles, and product specifications
• Review customer orders and pull required items from inventory
• Load products onto trucks for delivery
• Perform basic cylinder maintenance (painting, labeling, cleaning)
• Assist with shipment paperwork
• Complete routine and non-routine assignments as directed

Requirements

• High school degree or GED
• More than one (1+) year of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical background is desired
• Good leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
