Cylinder Driver

Our Mundaring operations team is looking for a dependable Cylinder Delivery Driver to deliver and collect gas cylinders to commercial and residential customers in multiple suburbs throughout the metro and surrounding areas. This is a hands-on, outdoor role involving frequent manual handling of gas cylinders.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver bulk cylinder and individual cylinder products.
• Ensure vehicles are kept in a roadworthy and clean condition, including daily walkaround checks, pre-start checks, and reporting any defects or symptoms of defects (vehicles driven will range from 8-12 tonne rigid trucks).
• Complete all relevant paperwork and activity (consignment notes, etc.) and meet electronic requirements, including using handheld scanner technology to log deliveries and monitor stock.
• Prioritize safety at every level, including road and traffic safety, and exercise patience.
• Report any hazards, safety concerns, near misses, accidents, and incidents.
• Manage time efficiently and maintain productivity.
• Provide excellent customer service during product delivery.

Requirements

• Valid MR licence and/or HR licence.
• Current Forklift Operators Licence is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve while on your own.
• Commitment to preventing and managing your own fatigue.
• Some mechanical knowledge to handle minor maintenance issues on the road.
• Capacity to work variable hours and occasional weekends.
