About the role
Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc., a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, seeks an exceptional and talented Cycle Parts Counter based out of their Avon, Indiana facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily directed cycle counts (approximately 200+ part locations per day) to maintain inventory record accuracy and achieve a 99% gross cycle count average.
- Conduct daily recounts, investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and support reconciliation efforts to locate lost parts and ensure bin accuracy.
- Verify and maintain NAFTA country-of-origin labeling requirements and determine the country of origin for parts included in planned counts.
- Process inventory adjustments in real time while ensuring accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System.
- Support 5S methodologies, hydraulic cleanliness initiatives, and inventory organization by maintaining proper labeling, location integrity, and transfer accuracy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned while identifying and reporting inventory, operational, and safety concerns.

Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- A two-year Associate degree preferred.
- Three or more years of work experience, preferably in a warehouse or inventory control environment.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) structure, flow, and distribution operations.
- Technical proficiency using RF devices and basic Microsoft Office applications, including Excel spreadsheets and graphs.
- Lift truck operation experience and the ability to safely handle inventory materials.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position.
Additional Information
- This position is critical to maintaining accurate inventory records without disrupting operations for full physical inventory counts.
- Inventory adjustments are processed directly from count results; therefore, count accuracy is essential.
- Responsible for determining when assistance is needed on difficult counts and researching discrepancies within established timelines.
- Recommend warehouse procedure improvements that increase inventory and bin-count accuracy.
- Responsible for reporting inventory errors, recommending reconciliation solutions, and communicating concerns to management.
- Supports domestic and international compliance requirements impacting inventory distributed throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, the Netherlands, Brazil, and Australia.
