About the role
The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW) seeks an energetic and experienced Adventure Cycle Instructor to lead group exercise classes. This role requires adherence to YMCA of the USA and Director of Group Exercise guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and conduct group exercise classes following YMCA standards
- Ensure all classes start and end on time
- Greet participants, take attendance, and familiarize yourself with Upace Group Ex technology
- Adapt classes and provide modifications based on participant limitations
- Utilize and promote proper and safe use of all exercise equipment
- Attend and participate in advanced training workshops and special events
- Comply with YGBW policies and standard operating procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- At least 1 year of participation in group exercise classes required
- Possess and maintain at least one current Group Exercise certificate or specialty certificate from a reputable organization
- Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
- Availability for morning and weekend hours
