Position Summary
The Cycle Counter is responsible for counting materials, inventory reconciliation, stock keeping, and correctly entering information into the inventory system.
Essential Responsibilities
- Performs routine cycle counts of the inventory to ensure the system quantity and the physical quantity of product is correct
- Accurately enters cycle count information, verifies the accuracy of the data, and manages the cycle count process in the inventory system
- Moves materials within the warehouse and assists in other warehouse activities as directed
- Operates Powered Industrial Truck and safely drives a forklift on a daily basis
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
- Follows approved work instructions
- Operates sit-down forklift
Working Conditions
- Work is performed mostly in an uncontrolled atmosphere; will be exposed to harsh conditions—such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis is required
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers to grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear
- All employees are required to follow safety standards, adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas
Job Specifications
- Education & Experience:
- 1 year experience with forklifts
- PREFERRED: 1 year experience in Inventory
- Skill:
- Basic Math: effectively use basic math to solve problems (counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)
- Attention to Detail: Being careful about details and thorough in completing tasks, detecting problems and reporting information accordingly
- Communication: Competent oral and written communication as appropriate for the needs of operational processes and interacting with other employee owners
- Technology: Solid computer proficiency with proficiency scanners and other technology for inventory purposes
- Reading Comprehension: basic reading comprehension in order to read and interpret documents and comprehend written instructions
- Independence: Guiding oneself with little or no supervision, and depending on oneself to get things done accurately and efficiently
- Organization: Time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
