Cycle Count Specialist

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute daily cycle count procedures for materials in accordance with established schedules and company policies
  • Accurately count and verify physical inventory quantities against system records
  • Operate forklifts and/or man lifts safely and efficiently to access inventory at various heights within the stockroom, yard, and production areas
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments (e.g., Production, Shipping, Receiving, Quality Control) to coordinate and perform counts of their specific inventory items, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
  • Utilize handheld scanners and other relevant equipment to accurately scan and record cycle count data directly into the Sage ERP System
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Participate in year-end physical inventory counts as required
  • Aid with other stockroom and inventory-related tasks as needed
  • Receives and inspects incoming and outgoing materials and reports non-conformities
  • Fills orders from storage areas and delivers to designated departments
  • Meets or exceeds annual safety, quality, 6-S, and productivity success targets
  • Attends training courses as directed by management
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Proven ability and certification to safely operate a forklift preferred. On-site training is available if necessary
  • Proven ability and certification to safely operate a man lift equipment (e.g., scissor lift, boom lift) preferred. On-site training is available if necessary
  • Experience with inventory scanning devices, WMS Scanning and ERP systems; direct experience with Sage ERP is preferred
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time effectively to meet daily targets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
