Cycle Count Operator - 2nd shift
About the role
The Cycle Count Operator at GE Aerospace in Clearwater performs teardown and counting of reels and trays using an X‑Ray Counter, scans items, and updates counted quantities into Mycenter. The role supports finance‑driven cycle counts and submits physical count sheets for validation.
Responsibilities
- Remove reels from feeders and scan each reel to a teardown location.
- Return baskets and magazines to their proper locations.
- Count each reel as it comes from teardown using the X‑Ray Counter and update the counted quantities into Mycenter.
- Put away counted reels into towers or racks by accurately scanning each reel to its proper location.
- Execute daily finance‑driven cycle counts: retrieve reels and trays, bring them to the X‑Ray Counter, count the material, record the count on a physical sheet, and turn the sheet into Noel for inventory validation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
- Ability to read and comprehend written work instructions, including technical documents.
- Ability to lift/move material up to 35 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Potential exposure to high‑risk or hazardous operations and/or shifts beyond a standard workweek.
Desirable Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of industry or similarly related job experience.
- Prior experience working in a team‑oriented environment.
- Prior experience with LEAN & Continuous Improvement.
