About the role

A Cybersecurity Project Manager is sought to lead the execution of strategic cybersecurity projects. This role supports key control areas, including Privileged Access Management (PAM), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Identity Authentication and Authorization (IAA), and Data Protection (DP). The position is accountable for the delivery of highly visible, mission-critical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global teams to drive the successful execution of strategic cybersecurity projects and programs.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define project benefits and outcomes.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including effort estimates and task sequences.
  • Led the resolution of conflicts or escalations to support project delivery.
  • Create and submit accurate project and program status reports.
  • Establish and maintain a project artifact repository and ensure adherence to internal software delivery methodology.
  • Oversee the financial management and performance for projects, including budget development and variance analysis.
  • Identify project resource needs and manage project staff to deliver tasks and optimize utilization.
  • Develop project charters and execute project communication plans.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of overall experience, including work in the Financial Services industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading and managing high-visibility technology projects.
  • Experience in cybersecurity project management related to Identity & Access Management, Data Protection, Security Operations, or Attack Surface Management.
  • Experience working within a matrixed organization to deliver complex projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguous or complex issues and identify creative resolutions.
  • Experience managing project budgets between $250K to $3M.
  • Knowledge of software delivery lifecycle methodologies such as Agile/Scrum or Waterfall.
  • Proficiency with project planning tools like MS Project or Azure DevOps (ADO) Boards.
  • Experience with Clarity PPM or similar tools for project financial and status reporting.
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office 365 and MS Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A college or university degree is beneficial.
  • An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • A current PMP certification is preferred.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This role is hybrid, with 3 days required to be onsite in Chicago, Illinois.
