Cybersecurity Software Engineer

About the role

Support secure systems within the Cryptographic Solutions Program and network security products by providing advanced engineering, cybersecurity analysis, and cryptographic solutions. Drive innovation in data protection, high-assurance encryption, and secure computing architecture to safeguard national security infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Improve security, testing, and certification for systems used by the Intelligence Community.
• Perform software design and functional programming.
• Develop robust test suites.
• Utilize languages such as Python, JavaScript, and functional programming paradigms.
• Work with markup and data formats like YAML, JSON, and HTML.
• Build and maintain software within Linux and Windows environments using tools like VS Code, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, and Scapy.
• Apply knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI) and cryptographic principles (PKI, encryption, hashing) to software development tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience with 14+ years as a Software Engineer on similar projects.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph required.
