Cybersecurity Risk Analyst Internship

About the role

The position is open to UF students eligible to work on campus and must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. It is managed through Student Other Personnel Services (OPS).

Responsibilities

• Triage and prioritize risk project requests based on data types and classifications.
• Shadow risk analysts to gain hands-on experience with risk assessment processes, including categorization review, security survey processing, and risk re-assessments.
• Cook with vendors to gather information on security controls, documentation, and compliance, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Support various projects related to risk assessments, security asset management, and compliance within ISO's GRC tool.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
• Strong writing and grammatical skills.
• Technical certifications a plus.
