Cybersecurity Red Team Lead (Remote)

Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Red Team Lead (Offensive Cybersecurity) to work on a contract basis. The role involves planning, executing, and reporting on offensive security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications. You will lead a team of security professionals in simulating real-world attacks to test defenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and oversee red team operations, including threat modeling, attack simulations, and adversary emulation.
• Develop and refine methodologies for identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in target environments.
• Lead post-assessment debriefs to communicate findings, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with blue teams to validate detection and response capabilities against simulated threats.
• Document and report detailed technical findings, including exploitation steps and recommended remediation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in offensive cybersecurity, penetration testing, or red teaming.
• Proficiency in using offensive security tools such as Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, Burp Suite, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and common attack vectors (e.g., phishing, privilege escalation).
• Experience leading red team exercises and managing junior security professionals.
• Ability to produce clear, actionable reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
