Cybersecurity Operations Controller

Job Responsibilities

• Cybersecurity monitoring and incident triage using AFCENT/USCENTCOM selected security tools.
• Enter event data into mission support systems according to operational procedures.
• Produce security reports.
• Perform trend analysis of authorized and unauthorized activity.
• Correlate unusual and suspicious network activity.
• Auxiliary in developing countermeasures to isolate, contain, and prevent intrusive activities.
• Track, document, and report all security related events and Cross Domain Violations.
• Auxiliary in Information Assurance Vulnerabilities Alerts (IAVA) coordination and tracking.
• Develop and report compliance and prepare POA&M.
• Provide General IT Management support.
• Provide General Networking support.
• Provide LAN support.
• Provide WAN Enterprise support.
• Provide technical general O&M support as required.
• Provide documentation/reports support as required.
• Provide meetings/briefings support as required.
• Provide functional training support as required.
• Provide CONUS TDY support as required.

Required Qualifications

• Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ relevant experience; Or, 5 or more years’ relevant experience.
• Firewall, ACAS and HBSS experience.
• Experience defining baseline security requirements in accordance with applicable guidelines.
• Experience with Microsoft server installation, roles, active directory, storage, performance management, and maintenance.

Certifications Required

• CompTIA Network +CE or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• ITIL Foundation - Candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification after start.

Clearance Required

• Department of Defense Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.
