Cybersecurity Engineer - Ft. Detrick, MD
About the role
Data Systems Analysts, Inc. (DSA) is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Organizational Messaging Service (OMS) National Gateway Centers' (NGCs) Command and Control (C2) Messaging Interoperability mission. This role involves hands-on systems and network engineering support to ensure reliable, secure, and interoperable messaging services for the Department of Defense (DoD), the Intelligence Community, other U.S. Government users, and allied/coalition partners.
Responsibilities
- Resolve security findings on systems
- Support the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process by providing responses to security controls and gathering evidence
- Ensure compliance of systems with the DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Scans and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs)
Requirements
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelors
- Experience Required: All hired employees are expected to have experience with Microsoft Copilot and/or an approved equivalent AI solution
- Candidate must hold a DoD 8140 qualified certification (example CompTIA Security+)
- Experience with DISA’s Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Candidate must demonstrate an attention to detail
- Candidate must possess excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Experience with eMASS and RMF
Qualifications
- Candidate must have current Top Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SSBI with SCI clearance
Skills
- Experience with CYBERCOM’s Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) notices
- Experience with installing and configuring DISA's Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
- Experience with DoD's Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) (previously HBSS)
- Working knowledge of public key infrastructure and encryption systems

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
