About the role
CGI is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to play a critical role in resolving complex information assurance challenges and integrating cutting-edge electronic processes to tackle total system and technology problems inherent to IA requirements. This position is located in Columbus, OH.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing threat information from multiple sources including logs, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), intelligence reports, and vendor sites.
- Creating customized dashboards and developing ES rules, reports, dashboards, data monitors, active channels, and trends using Splunk ES to identify and elevate high-threat items.
- Administering and maintaining the Splunk ES infrastructure, including backend database support, upgrades, and daily maintenance.
- Providing security engineering support across planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration of information systems.
- Acting as a key resource and advisor for CERT Incident Handlers (IH) and site Information Assurance Managers (IAM), ensuring robust incident response and data mining optimizations.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of relevant IT experience
- DOD Secret Clearance
- Must be eligible for IT I
- Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570/8140 IAT level III
- Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570/8140 CND-IS
- Experience creating custom dashboards and reports in Splunk using threat data.
- Experience in the integration and sustainment of Splunk Core and Splunk Enterprise Security (ES)

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $127,500.00 - $251,100.00.
