Cybersecurity Architect
About the role
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Enterprise Systems Solutions Group (ESSG), Division of Identity Management Enterprise Systems (DIMES).
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design of the overall enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) security framework.
- Perform analysis of a system's compliance with applicable policies, standards, and procedures.
- Monitor progress against program plans, which identify program milestones and associated tasking and timeframes.
- Provide administrative support to Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) in formulating project plans, statements of objectives and/or statements of work (SOO/SOW), and budgets in support of ICAM initiatives for CMS systems.
- Affiliate with internal reporting to leadership on ICAM governance activities, such as periodic reports capturing the status of CMS systems' compliance with CMS security metrics.
Requirements
You must be a U.S. Citizen or National to apply for this position. You will be subject to a background and suitability investigation. Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT: You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed: 1. AND In order to qualify for the GS-12, you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Developing and executing security strategies in accordance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) requirements to protect systems, networks, and data from cyber threats; AND 2) Designing and implementing Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions or products; AND 3) Monitoring and reporting on ICAM program plans and compliance activities, to include tracking program milestones and preparing internal and external reports related to ICAM governance, policies, or security metrics.
