Cyber Security, Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) - Onsite
About the role
This role requires consistent, in-person collaboration and will be performed full-time onsite at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Employees work on advanced electronics spanning air, land, sea, and space, developing technology that protects and supports warfighters. The Electronic Combat Solutions (ECS) team focuses on delivering leading Electronic Warfare capabilities through innovation, mentorship, and rapid fielding.
Responsibilities
- Support adherence to a rigorous Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance program as stipulated by NISPOM/DAAPM, JSIG, ICD 503, STIGs, and associated NIST publications.
- Partner with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) approvals for various systems by adhering to RMF.
- Support cybersecurity efforts throughout the RMF process, including enforcement of System Security Plans, Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), assessing and auditing systems security controls.
Requirements
- Active DOD Secret Clearance (required) with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance.
- IAM Level I certification commensurate with DoD 8570.1M requirements (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- High School Diploma and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- High level of personal motivation and initiative to learn and adapt in a dynamic security environment.
- Customer-focused with strong communication skills and ability to work with limited supervision.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to interface with IA team members, other security disciplines, and program personnel.
- Basic understanding of simple networks, operating systems, and computer functions.
- Coursework in technical disciplines (e.g., programming/scripting, systems administration, cybersecurity/information assurance).
Preferred Qualifications
- Top Secret SCI Clearance (active).
- Working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards, and operational security measures.
- Experience with information security management and compliance.
- Experience auditing and certifying compliance of systems (Windows, Linux, Network Devices, and peripherals).
- Experience preparing Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documents and procedures.
- Experience developing and delivering IA-related briefings and training materials.
- Experience with compliance and vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, SCAP, ACAS, SCC).
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $79,365 – $134,921. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
