About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Cyber Security Engineer 2 to join our Product Security Tools team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development, integration, automation, and continuous improvement of enterprise security tools that safeguard Humana's applications, SaaS platforms, cloud environments, and development pipelines. Your expertise will help enhance our security posture by collaborating across various teams such as Product Security, DevSecOps, Cloud Engineering, and Security Architecture.
You will work with industry-leading tools including AppOmni, Cycode, Checkmarx, Wiz, Prisma Cloud, JFrog/Xray, and GCP Model Armor to reduce risk, improve operational maturity, and ensure compliance across our critical platforms. This role requires a hands-on approach with a focus on operational support, tool integration, and process optimization. You will support onboarding and tuning of security tools, develop dashboards and reports, troubleshoot incidents, and partner with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud security controls, security automation, and integrating security solutions with enterprise systems such as Splunk, ServiceNow, and cloud platforms like Azure, GCP, and AWS.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven commitment to continuous learning through certifications, training, or community participation
- Experience with security tools such as AppOmni, Cycode, Checkmarx, Wiz, Prisma Cloud, JFrog/Xray, and GCP Model Armor
- Experience integrating security tools with enterprise systems like Splunk, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and M365
- Knowledge of AI security controls and AI posture management
- Experience with cloud security controls and policy deployment in Azure, GCP, and AWS
- Strong troubleshooting skills for tool outages, scan issues, and integration problems
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for cross-team partnerships
- Experience in regulated enterprise environments with audit, compliance, and change management processes
Responsibilities
- Support onboarding, configuration, tuning, and operationalization of product and cloud security tools
- Integrate security tools with CI/CD pipelines, developer workflows, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems
- Assist with SaaS posture visibility, AI application discovery, reporting, and platform expansion activities
- Track and remediate secrets detection issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventive controls
- Operationalize security capabilities across Wiz, Checkmarx, JFrog/Xray, AppScan, Prisma Cloud, and GCP Model Armor
- Support cloud security controls, policy development, and deployment pipelines in Azure, GCP, and AWS environments
- Create reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor tool health, risk posture, and remediation progress
- Manage rules and policies lifecycle, conduct access reviews, and participate in vendor meetings and QBRs
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to tools, scans, and integrations, ensuring minimal downtime
- Develop and maintain SOPs, playbooks, knowledge transfer documents, escalation procedures, and process guides
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve security outcomes, automate manual processes, and enhance operational efficiency
