Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

The Cyber Security Engineer will be part of the Information Security Team in Kasas City. The role involves SIEM/SOC operations, endpoint protection, network security, and privileged access management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise and cloud security solutions aligned with corporate standards.
• Collaborate with SOC and monitoring teams to strengthen visibility, detection, and security control effectiveness.
• Support and improve the vulnerability management program, including remediation guidance and risk-reduction metrics.
• Contribute to integrating and automating security data and processes across enterprise platforms.
• Assist in evaluating new technologies and ensuring their secure adoption.
• Define requirements based on the security strategy and implement capabilities to meet established standards and reduce risk.
• Run proof-of-value tests and operationalize cybersecurity tools and processes to improve Clarivate's security posture.
• Stay aware of emerging threats and design capabilities to mitigate them.
• Respond to security incidents and SOC escalations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related degree, or relevant, equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting cybersecurity solutions in enterprise and cloud environments.
• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience using CrowdStrike Falcon, Zscaler, and other similar tools is desired.
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, GIAC) are beneficial.
• Familiarity with modern security architectures (zero trust, segmentation, identity-centric models, secure remote access) is required.
• Experience with cloud security, preferably with hands-on AWS experience, is desirable.
• Experience with automation or scripting for security (Python, PowerShell, etc.) is advantageous.
