Responsibilities

  • Install, administer, and troubleshoot ARNORTH’s security solutions.
  • Ensure the network's security, protect against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction, and troubleshoot any access problems.
  • Work with the cyber security team to provide coverage for 10.5 hours a day during normal duty days (e.g. shift work between 0630-1700 Monday-Friday less Federal holidays).
  • Periodically scan the NIPRNET and provide a weekly brief on the vulnerabilities and risks detected.
  • Under Government direction, ensure that personnel accessing information systems have the proper and current Cybersecurity certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01– M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, and DoDI 8500.01, Cybersecurity.
  • Manage the G6 portion of the System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) process and perform PKI Enhanced Trusted Agent duties, issuing and revoking SIPRNET and Administrator tokens for ARNORTH personnel.
  • Afford assistance in preparing cybersecurity audits, inspections, training, policy, and other staff actions.
  • Inspect all remote user sites once per year.
  • Respond to security incidents that threaten the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the networks, responding to cyber events IAW Command Incident Response Plan.
  • Investigate additions and changes to cybersecurity processes to identify, measure, and control threats to minimize the unauthorized disclosure of information via monitoring, IAVAs, and cost-effective countermeasures.
  • Create weekly IAVA status report and collaborate with other Leads to identify, patch, and correct vulnerabilities.
  • Assist the government by providing research, documentation, artifacts, and administrative support for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for the Command’s NIPRNET, DDASS, deployable C2 node type accreditations, future IaaS/PaaS/SaaS deployments, and other accreditations as required.
  • Manage the ARNORTH SIEM environment, NETAPP Storage Area Network (SAN), SNAP Manager, and VMWare environment using the DISA STIGs, ARCYBER CTOs, ARNORTH SOP, and standard industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)
  • 3 years of experience in a cyber security role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT-related field, business administration, or technology management.
  • IAT Level II Certification (e.g., SEC+ or equivalent) Required.
