About the role
Providing support to the Combat Plans Division (CPD) of the 616th Operations Center in execution of the 16th Air Force’s mission located in San Antonio, Texas. The role involves understanding cybersecurity concepts, reading and interpreting higher headquarters cyber orders, and providing orders management support focused on cyber mission-related and exercise orders for cyber operations personnel.
Responsibilities
- Review orders repositories across multiple enclaves multiple times daily.
- Maintain orders trackers and status visibility for mission and exercise participants.
- Manage suspenses and prioritize short-notice requirements in support of operational timelines.
- Produce recurring and ad-hoc reports/metrics supporting operational battle rhythm (e.g., upcoming mission/exercise orders, open orders, execution status summaries).
- Coordinate, prepare, and process mission and exercise orders (e.g., operational taskings, exercise participation, special mission support orders) using Government-directed systems and procedures.
- Coordinate with Government stakeholders to ensure orders align with mission/exercise schedules and administrative prerequisites.
Requirements
- Knowledge of tactical and strategic cybersecurity concepts.
- Experience in military writing and graphics display tools.
- Ability to work in a team of diverse specialties.
- Knowledge of Air Force Cyber capabilities and organization.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in a cyber-related capacity.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance at the Top Secret/SCI level.
Desired Skills
- Prior experience working with service cyber-affiliated units.
- Military cyber courses and experience in related fields.
- BS degree in computer-related disciplines.
- Cyber certification.
- Working knowledge of Joint and USAF doctrine, specifically defensive cyber operations.
