OzarksGo, based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is a telecommunications subsidiary of Ozarks Electric Cooperative, offering all-fiber gigabit internet and premium television and telephone services to Northwest Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in computer information systems or a related technical field or equivalent work experience in systems administration, infrastructure management, or IT operations is preferred.
- Relevant industry certifications such as A+, Linux+, Security+, LPIC-1 are preferred.
- 1 year of experience working with IT infrastructure including Windows and Linux server environments, identity and access management, virtualization platforms, endpoint security solutions, and systems monitoring tools is required.
- Experience with Active Directory, Okta, CrowdStrike, and virtualization technologies is highly preferred.
Skills
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively both verbally and in writing to supervisors, peers, technical staff, and non-technical end users.
- Comfortable working in head-less user interfaces.
- Understanding of basic Linux architecture.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, and routing.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python and Powershell.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine system and cybersecurity health checks and proactively report issues requiring escalation.
- Maintain accurate asset inventory and configuration records for assigned systems.
- Assist with hardware lifecycle activities, including server deployment, replacement, and decommissioning.
- Assist with identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including Single Sign-on (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Active Directory, and lifecycle management processes.
- Support organizational security posture initiatives, including system hardening, policy enforcement, and IT operational governance.
- Assist with management of user accounts, permissions, group policies, and enterprise-wide access control systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot endpoint security platforms.
- Perform system patching and vulnerability remediation activities to ensure security compliance and operational integrity.
- Assist in maintaining Windows and Linux server environments, with primary responsibility for Ubuntu, RHEL, and Debian-based systems.
- Support and maintain virtualization infrastructure, automation, and scripting solutions.
- Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of monitoring, alerting, and visualization platforms.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and end-user or admin training materials related to IT systems and best practices.
- Collaborate with Agile development methodologies and participate in project management processes.
- Complete all required IT and Security training as assigned.
- Perform any other duties assigned to fulfill the objectives of the Cooperative.
External Relationships
- Interact with vendors to evaluate and order new equipment, report equipment malfunctions, resolve hardware and software issues, and stay updated on current technology.
Other Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license without violations that would prohibit insurability.
- Work is performed in an office environment with higher and/or longer noise levels than average.
- Weekends, evening hours, overtime, and/or overnight travel may often be necessary.
