Cyber Machine Learning Engineer, Senior X2

Location: Arlington, VA | Clearance: TS SCI w/Poly | Salary: Up to $190,000 Annually

As a Senior Cyber Machine Learning Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in cybersecurity and machine learning to develop innovative solutions that enable real-time threat detection and automated defense for federal, Department of Defense, and commercial clients. Your work will focus on building, training, and deploying production-ready models to identify advanced persistent threats, utilizing open-source tools, cloud resources, and continuous integration best practices. You'll stay ahead of emerging research, applying your curiosity and problem-solving skills to tackle complex, non-standard challenges in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, and deploy production-ready machine learning models for real-time threat detection and automated cyber defense
• Apply expertise in cyber threat hunting, security log analysis, and cyber compromise detection using endpoint and network data
• Utilize SIEM technologies (Splunk, ElasticSearch) and frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK and cyber intelligence platforms
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GovCloud), data streaming (Kafka, RedPanda), and ETL/data warehousing
• Design solutions for complex cybersecurity challenges

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in cyber threat hunting, security log analysis, and cyber compromise detection
• Proficiency in training, packaging, and deploying machine learning models using Python, Docker, Kubernetes, or Bash
• Experience with SIEM technologies (Splunk, ElasticSearch) and cybersecurity frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GovCloud) and data streaming (Kafka, RedPanda)
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or PhD preferred
